Nay Bother at All!

One of the many phrases I was taught whilst at Inkspot in Hamilton this weekend!
I was taught some other phrases -but I cannot possibly share them!! Opened my eyes - I'll tell ya!!! Lol!!

On Thursday afternoon - me and Chris set off on the drive to Scotland, knowing it would take about 3 hours, but not knowing how gorgeous a drive up it would be....................

It was stunning - especially when the sun started to go down.
I am sure I went to Scotland as a child on holiday, but I cannot remember it. Me, Chris and Ben went on a caravan holiday when Ben was about 1, but we only went into Edinburgh for the day. So, I was really excited to get the chance to go and work in Scotland for a few days.

On Friday morning - I was SO nervous!! I know you will probably be thinking - why would you be nervous, you go on tv and demonstrate - that must be worse?! The thing is, I have been presenting crafts on QVC now for 5 years and yes, I still get nervous (which I think is a good thing) - but this was a completely new area to me and the nerves were there thick and fast! But, honestly, I should not have worried so much - everyone at the Inkspot and in Hamilton were lovely!

I was demonstrating lots and lots of goodies - Grand Calibur Die Cutting System from Spellbinders together with lots of gorgeous Nestabilities!

Beautiful stamps from Hero Arts - my favourite was definetley this Elegant Weeds set:

Another major love of mine Punches - Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page; Punch All Over The Page and lots of the gorgeous border punches too - including my current favourite deep edge punch at the moment - Bangle Chain! Isn't it fab...

And, I also played around with - sorry, worked with - Distress Inks too............................. I was in my element!

It was such a fun few days and I did not want it to be over - everyone at Inkspot were lovely and so friendly - if you ever get the chance to go and see them in Hamilton, which is near to Glasgow - make sure you do!

Their shop is packed full of lots of the big names in crafting, plus they have a big stationery department and a printers shop too where they print wedding invitations; flyers and lots more things! It is a jam packed full shop - Plus, if that isn't enough - right across the road they have a huge Fancy Dress Shop too!!

They also have workshop areas upstairs and on Saturday they had a children art class going on - I managed to see a little bit of it at lunchtime and you should have seen what these kids were drawing - amazing!

I cannot wait to go back for my own workshops that I am teaching there on the 8th & 9th April!

Friday 8th April (pm)
How to get the most out of your Grand Calibur Machine
This is a workshop to show you how to get the best out of your Grand Calibur and how to incorporate your die cut and embossed pieces into your cardmaking.
Whilst I was at InkSpot a lady did ask me if she would be able to come along with her Cuttlebug instead - Of course!! It is a workshop that will show you lots of hints and tips that can be incorporated with a Cuttlebug too - The more the merrier!!

Saturday 9th April (am)
Dreamweaver Stencils & Paste
Create stunning results with the Dreamweaver products! I will be passing on little hints & tips to help you create perfect results every time! I will also show you different colour mediums and how to use those with the stencils too!

Saturday 9th April (pm)
Alcohol & Distress Ink Techniques
A good play afternoon - getting messy with inks from Ranger!
I will show you how to distress; stamp and create your own backgrounds - plus lots more - using these fab inks. Make sure you bring an apron!!!

Each workshop is priced at just £20 or you can book on all 3 for just £50!!

If you would like to book give Inkspot a call on 01698 286401 - cannot wait to craft with you all again in Scotland!

Here are a couple of the pictures from the weekend at Inkspot - I will post again in a few days with my sample cards too.

For now, I am off to bed - back into work tomorrow to prep for my QVC shows on Tuesday 2pm - 4pm!!

See you all then

Hugs
Amy

Glad you had a great time in Scotland Amy. It is a beautiful country, I went to many parts of it on holidays as a child.

Being a Geordie lass I understand the heading of your blog as a lot of the Scottish sayings are similar to what us Geordies say.

We Geordies would say 'Nee bother'
