It has been a horrid few weeks as my Uncle John passed away 2 weeks ago - the cancer finally won the battle. He had fought for so long against this horrid disease - but just could not fight any longer. I am still going through all the emotions that everyone does when someone leaves us - but I do take comfort that he is no longer in pain.
So please, everyone, treasure your family - Tell them you love them every single day, they are the most important thing in the world.
And so, on a happier note, let me update you all on what I have been up too whilst I have been at work........................
Here are a few samples of work that I have produced for QVC Kits; My Workshops in Lancashire and a few other bits and pieces............
My nice and tidy new craft area at work.....
We have had a bit of a move around in the prep area at work and I am determined to keep my area tidy - Note the Starbucks cup!!! A Drive Thru Starbucks has just opened in Blackburn right on the road between my home and work!!! My new addiction - costing me a fortune, but worth every penny!!

A few samples from my Simple Styles Workshops last weekend!
CardMaking in the morning and Scrapbooking in the afternoon...... I had 16 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon - Great day!
I made about 6 samples with this amazing tool that I was going to show you all on air last week with Andrew Hillier from WRMK - but everything then happened with my Uncle.
It is a fab tool and cannot wait to use it more - creates great results!
My Christmas Tree card was made using the scallop edge die with the tool - What do you think?

And, last but no way least, my gorgeous little boy - Who always makes me smile - No matter what is happening around me!!
Have a great day everyone

Hi Amy, i have just found your blog for the first time, you have some fabulous cards made, i particularly like the black and white reindeer paper one with glitter reindeer embellishment, could you tell me what the products are you used and where to get them, thanks
Vikki
Hi Amy, so sorry about your uncle. Love the samples they are exquisite, look forward to seeing you back on qvc soon. Ben is an absolute angel, bless. love and hugs Yvonne xxx
Vikki,
The reindeer card is navy and white (forgot to put flash on my camera!!!oooppppss!)
Everything is available in Dawn's store-they do mail order too.
Give them a call on 01254 356501 and tell them that the card is one that Amy taught last weekend, they will know which it is and can let you know prices etc
Hope this helps

Hi Amy
Well yes Saturday's workshop was great fun and you squeezed us all in nice and cozy. You never let on about your Uncle, I'm sad about your loss and yes I totally agree that your family are the most important thing in your life even if you don't feel like it sometimes. Your classes are Sophie and my monthly fix and it is great that I can actually share something with her without fighting.
Take care and thanks for the inspiration you share with us.

Love the samples from the QVC kit watercolouring and stamping - is the kit available now? Love the reindeer as well, is it a die?
lovely samples - I really like the pleated ribbon technique.
Happy 2011
