My Weekend Off!

I have had a fab weekend - I have been away so much recently that it has been great to spend a whole weekend with my boys!
Saturday was spent at Blackpool, walking along the front - playing on the slot machines and Chris winning a Thomas the Tank Engine toy for Ben! We had Chips and Sausage in a Cafe and then travelled home with Ben asleep in the car.
I then went off into my craft room to play with my Martha Stewart punches and Hero Art stamps! I only had an hour but managed to create these three cards.................

I was then feeeling really dozy so left Chris and Ben having tea and went off to bed at about 5pm - I woke up at 7am this morning!!!! 14 hours sleep!!! Talk about sea air knocking you out!

Today was spent at Chester Zoo! What a fantastic day out - Ben loved all the animals - Nelly The Elephant; Pingu the Penguins but his all time favourite out of all of these animals that he has never seen before were the fish in the tanks!!! Oh, and he loved the Monorail Train, every time it went past he stopped to shout "Choo Choo"! I got some great pictures too, really great opportunities as I am sure the animals stop and pause for cameras!!

We then set off home and Ben was asleep within 2 minutes! He slept all the way home, brought him in and then he went back asleep on the settee - Daddy joined him so I went off to B&Q to find some wallpaper samples!
We are having a bit of a move around at home - we are going to make the back room the day room with Ben's toys and a table to eat at and then we are going to have the front room as the grown up room with a brand new leather settee coming our way in a couple of weeks!
So I need to get the plasterers in as our ceiling in the back room has fallen in and then I can get on with the girly things like picking wallpaper and new pictures! Heaven!!

Ah well, best get going - got to get packed to set off to QVC again tomorrow - Dawn's TSV launches Monday night at Midnight - I am on air at 9am on Tuesday and then Dawn is on throughout the day with me and Paula helping behind the scenes. Really want to get packed tonight and then I can spend tomorrow with Ben before leaving him again!

Soon be home again!!

Hope you have all had a great weekend too

That truly does sound like a fabulous weekend! I love Chester Zoo and hope to visit sometime this year.
You managed to make three gorgeous cards in such a short time yesterday - Martha Stewart punches are definitely on my wish list!
Hope all goes well with Dawn's TSV - I hope to catch some of the shows!
Love, Andrea xx

Really good to know you got some family time this weekend, though we missed seeing you at the shop of course. I'm jealous though - Chester zoo is one of my favourite places to visit! Good luck for the shows, not that you need it! Lindsay x x

Lovely to read a post from you again.

Sounds like you all had a great time.

We loved Chester Zoo when we took our soon when he was small.

Love the cards you made with the Martha Stewart punches.

I've been playing with Cuttlebug folders I bought this weekend.

Looking forward to the TSV.

What a lovely family weekend! Every opportunity to increase a young child's experience is time worth its weight in gold, Amy.

All the best fr the TSV launch - I'll do my best to stay awake but, like you, had a busy weekend enjoying the welcome Spring sunshine.

So sorry to read on Dawn's blog that little Ben is poorly - what a shame but he needs his Mum right now, doesn't he? God bless.
