Update & Crafts Beautiful Magazine!

Hi Everyone

Well, it's been a bit of a mad couple of weeks what with QVC shows and prep oh and that thing called Christmas that whizzed by without me noticing!!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and New Year and spent it with loved ones.

Christmas day morning was spent with me and Chris waking Ben up to go downstairs and open his presents!! We had set up his train set and he loved it - He just kept saying "Wow!!" and the Spiderman suit that we could not wait for him to open - he has not paid any attention too at all (still hasn't!)

I got a beautiful watch from Chris with a mother of pearl face - gorgeous! Together with pyjamas and Carpenters CD (one of my all time favourite groups). Chris got a membership for a Scuba club that he wanted to join together with Slippers & Socks from Ben!

We then went over to Chris' Mum and Dads to swap pressies and meet up with Chris' Michelle and her Husband Scott and their two gorgeous girls Abi & Izzie. Great fun - but chaos with 3 little kids all opening their presents at the same time!! It was lovely to see all their faces light up when they opened everything. Ben got lots of car cars and trucks plus a plastic tool kit with hammers and saws!

We then went off to my Mum and Dad's to spend the rest of the day with opening more presents and then my mum's fab Christmas dinner - the best roast potatoes around!!
Dawn and JJ and my brother Adam joined us - so it was great for everyone to be around the table for a meal - don't get chance much anymore!
Then at night, my Aunty Julie and Uncle Robert came round with my cousin Christian and my Cousin Hayley came too from the Lake District with her fella Russell and their gorgeous little girl Hester (my Goddaughter!) We had more presents to open and then we relaxed with a drink or two while the kids ran round all night playing with their toys! A great day!

Then Boxing Day we got up and packed to go down to London! Ben went to his Mamah and Bampa's house (my Mum and Dad) to stay for a few nights whilst Chris came with me!
Set off on the road about 3pm following Dawn and JJ down the motorway and arrived at 7:30pm, went straight to studio where we got straight in and started setting up for the midnight launch for Dawn. Me and Chris left at about 9pm to get back to the hotel to rest up for the night as I was on the next day at 9am!

Craft Day was brilliant - 9am hour was storage and I had great fun, there was a real Christmas spirit. Dawn came in at 10:30am after a little bit of a lie in as she wasn't feeling too well. Paula Pascual and Carole were helping behind scenes with prep and samples - it was such as busy day.
I was so nervous before my first ever complete CD hour! So much can go wrong with computers on a live show - but luckily everything was great and went off perfectly with sell outs of every CD I showed - I was so relieved. Plus, I was working with the fabulous Charlie who has now earned the nickname of being my lucky charm!
We got out of Studio at 12:30pm and went straight back to the Hotel into the bar with Dawn and JJ for a well earned drink and then a hot chocolate! Spoke over the day with Dawn and then flopped into bed at about 2am!

Me and Chris were then staying in London to do another show on the 29th December so we met up with Dawn and JJ for lunch before they set off home to pack for their holiday to South Africa.
They took us to Harrods for lunch to celebrate a successful day and my succesful CD Hour! What a treat! They do a full roast lunch with all the trimmings whilst you sit and listen to the piano being played! And, of course, watch the world go by whilst eating! Love seeing all the different people - it's a different world in London compared to Blackburn!!

Dawn and JJ then set off and we then went back to the hotel to get ready for going to the theatre. Chris bought tickets for Billy Elliott as a treat! I was so excited - I love going to the theatre! It was fantastic - go and see it if you can! The dancing and the sets together with all the children actors just mesmorise you - they are so talented! We then went to an italian resturant before falling into bed again!

Next day was back into studio for another show - which again was really good fun. I love going on air - a real buzz and everyone is so friendly at QVC, it's a realy joy.
Straight after the show we set off home to get back to our boy!

New Years Eve was spent at home - Ben in bed and me and Chris cuddles up on the settee with a takeaway and a bottle of wine! It was pure bliss after being away from home for a few days - Watched the fireworks in London at midnight, weren't they fantastic!

Well, since the New Year it's been hectic with a full week of Outlet Shows on QVC - which were amazing! So busy - we kept having lots of sell outs so had to keep bringing more product out of reserve for you all! What a buzz! Nothing like LIVE TV because you never know what is going to happen and what is going to be thrown at you! My Mum came with me this time as Chris was back at work so Ben stayed with my Dad and had a whale of a time whilst Mummy was away! He gets spoiled rotten at Mamah and Bampa's house - but that's how it should be!

The last two shows were on the 4th & 5th January with my Mum again so I bought tickets to the Theatre to thank my Mum for everything. We went to Teh Palladium to see Sister Act - it was fabulous we were 9 rows from the front!!! The songs were amazing - wish I could sing like that!!
We then set off home on Tuesday night straight after another amazing show with Charlie! He is such fun to work with - so lovely!
Arrived home at 10pm and straight off to bed!

Phew! Travelling all over with for now!
Just got to catch up on my full time job of managing the Topaz Crafts website now before going on holiday on Tuesday to 10 days in the sun with my Mum, Dad, Brother, Chris & Ben - Cannot wait!
See you all again when I get back!

Oh, guess what's just landed on my desk whilst I have been typing................
My project in February edition of Crafts Beautiful using the gorgeous papers from Bo Bunny. Had great fun making these with Kaleidascope embossing powder using the scorching technique!! Sneeky Peak below!!

What do you think??
Enjoy
