TSV launch tonight at Midnight on QVCUK with me!

On a nightmare journey to QVC - traffic is awful today. Be safe if you are on these roads.

I'm launching a crafty clearance day tonight at midnight with a bargain TSV that I cannot wait to share with you.
There are so many bargains over the course of the day starting at Midnight tonight; 1am and then 9am and 12noon tomorrow with me and then Marion and Kirsty follow with their hours (check Qvc website for all the times) - going to be a great day!

Merry Christmas Everyone

Just wanted to wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas.

It's been a hectic few days on the run up to it all and I haven't really had time to blog - sorry!
I am now all ready for my family Christmas Day and i cannot wait - just as it should be, spending the day with my loved ones.

I hope you all have a wonderful day whatever you are doing.

The most fantastic day at AFTH, Harrogate

I have had the most amazing, fantabulous, fun, day thanks to Dyan at Art From The Heart in Harrogate.

Today has been all about stretching myself and going outside of my comfort zone when it comes to crafting!! And boy, did I do that.........

Now, I love inky messes - i love nothing better than stamping with my Distress Ink Pads and doing techniques with those - but I have never used Dylusions Inks or Paints (OMG!!! AMAZING!) and I have never done a journal double pager before using so many different layers....... I LOVED IT!!

My rule has always been Less is More - but Dyan teaches you that More is More and you should try more layers and borders and shading and sooooo on!
I had to force myself sometimes, but it was so worth it!
I love my pages - not complete yet, but hoping to finish later tonight.

Will post picture when finished and then I am off to check my diary for next year to see when I can go again.
I want to do a full size canvas next - for on my wall at home!!!!

If you have never been to AFTH or taken a class with Dyan, you are missing out on the most amazing day!

My Last Weekend of Demonstrations & Workshops 2011 and Dates for 2012

Hi Everyone

Well, it was my last weekend of demonstrations and workshops last weekend for 2011 and what a great weekend it was!

I purposely wanted to leave myself most of December with time off so that I can catch up on lots of other things that I need to do at home - first thing being making my own Christmas Cards and also completely gutting my craft room - together, of course, with Christmas shopping and cleaning to get the house ready for guests!! Phew! Shattered just thinking about everything I have to do - what is it about Christmas, such a huge list of jobs to do to get ready!! Lol!

Anyway, it's always worth it - as you all know - I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!

First of all, here are some of the photos from my workshops in Chorley, Lancashire from Saturday

In each of my workshops in Chorley - everyone gets a FREE CRAFTY GIFT - Every Month!

This month, as it was Christmas everyone received 2 FREE GIFTS from me.

Cards in the morning session were all made with the first free gift - a modern and simple Christmas Bauble stamp from Stampendous

Scrapbooking in the afternoon was all based around 2nd FREE GIFT - a choice of Stunning Cardstock Pad containing 48 sheets from GCD Studios!!! Wow!!!

This workshop was based around scrapbook pages in the A4 size - I am loving playing around with this size of page! Loving it! Like to go outside the boundaries sometime - Lol!

We also had it as our Chrismtas Party - so everyone brought something to eat or drink and we had a fabulous day of crafting, eating and drinking!! Perfect!

Sunday was my last demo day of the year at the wonderful Mountain Ash Crafts in Bobbington, South Staffordhsire.

This is located in the Halfpenny Green Craft Centre which is such a lovely place with lots of different shops and the most fantastic coffee shop and restaurant with a big log fire! I love this place soooooo much - everyone is so friendly and welcoming and it is based on a Vineyards where they make all their own wine! Perfect!

The weather was shocking on Sunday unfortunately, the wind was howling and it was sleeting and raining and hail stoning - real wintry day. So it was a little quiet in the shop, but those of you who did come, thankyou! You were all so interested in the techniques and products - we ended up having a bit of an open stamping clinic where everyone was asking their questions that they struggle with - it was great fun! Thank goodness, i could answer every question lol!!

Here are the cards that I made using some fabulous stamps from Stampendous; Woodware and a few great punches from Woodware too - Great Day!

Mountain Ash have also asked me to go back every month to teach workshops - I cannot wait.

January is fully booked - February had 2 places left I believe and then I have also booked in for the 1st April too. So, if you would like to book on one of those workshops - give them a call directly on 01384 221554.

Oh yes, dates for next year!!

My diary for 2012 is red hot - Ha Ha!! I have been so busy taking bookings over the last week or so that next year is going to be a blumin busy one and I could not be happier!

Not only have I got QVC dates coming out of my ears - I am teaching twice every month & doing demonstration days at weekends! I'm also working on some hush hush projects for next year too, that I will be able to tell you about real soon, just not yet! Too hush hush right now!

So, to check and see if I am coming to a place near you - check out all the updated dates in the right hand coloumn - Cannot wait to meet more of you next year - Sooooooo excited!!

Anyways, best get on - lots to do and not much time left today to do them all in.

Busy Weekend of Teaching & Demonstrating

A really quick post as I must get to bed - need my beauty sleep!! No jokes please! ;))

I am teaching all day tomorrow in Chorley, Lancashire at my monthly girly catch up. More like a group of friends meeting every month to craft than it is a workshop! Lol - love it!

Then Sunday I am at Mountain Ash Crafts for my last demo day of the year! Boo Hoo!
It is a Christmas Party Day with Raffles and Chocolates and demonstrations - so bob along and say Hi if you can.
It is such a lovely place and full of the friendliest customers and staff.
So much so that I am going to be going back to Mountain Ash every month to teach!!! Woo Hoo!
January's class is allready sold out - but I think there are a couple of places left for February.

Sooooooo excited about tomorrows show as there is such an amazing selection of products - I honestly am loving everything in the hour.

I have decoupage, stamps, papers, tools, punches, cards and envelopes, and inkpads!!! Wow - told you!

Busy Day in my Craft Room!

Hi Everyone,

Well I have had the busiest of days today in my craft room all alone all day - Bliss!

I've prepped all the cards for my workshop on Sunday in Lancashire - now just got to do the scrapbooking pages for the afternoon.

I've done a couple of quick videos for my You Tube page for you to have a look at!

I've made a BIG list of jobs that I have got to do - sooooooooo excited about items 1 & 2 (will tell you more when I can!!)

And I have chatted on the phone with friends - great catch ups and lots of giggles today!

A really, really good old day!

Don't you just love days like this when everything is good in the world?!

Where I will be demonstrating lots of different stamping techniques with Woodware stamps and using the FANTASTIC Woodware Crafty Edge Punch System - together with fab adhesives from Stix2 including the Glue Glider Pro and I'll be making Christmas Crackers too!!

It is a FREE demonstration, so just turn up anytime between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.

Would be lovely to meet so many of you.

Saturday is a day at home finishing off prep for my workshops on Sunday in Chorley, Lancashire - which I have just had ONE cancellation for - So, if you would like to grab the last place - drop me an email straight away mrsashaw@googlemail.com - first come, first served.

Then Sunday, I am teaching all day - cardmaking in the morning - where we will be making 6 Christmas cards in 2.5 hours, each with a different technique!

Wow - What a Day!

I have had the most amazing day at Mountain Ash Crafts today!

I did a days demo there a few months back and they asked me to go and teach workshops for a day - which was today! Well, what a day it was!

I taught Distress Inks in the morning and Alcohol Inks in the afternoon - and what a fab bunch of ladies I had - they were all sooo lovely and a real joy to teach.

Do you know, when I arrived - I did not know if it would be a one off or whether it would lead to more workshops - Well, I have been TOLD I am going every month to teach now because they allready had a waiting list of people wanting to book for next year!!! Ha ha!

So, the workshops, so far have been booked as follows:

Sunday January 29th - allready fully booked, sorry!

Sunday February 26th

When I left today - half of the places were allready taken for February so, if you would like to book, it would be lovely to meet even more of you - Give them a call asap on 01384 221554.

Fabulous Day Yesterday!

I had an amazing day yesterday at High Legh Garden Centre, Cheshire!
What a busy old day - did not stop for lunch and only managed to run for a wee at about 3:30pm!!!

Want to say a big Thankyou to all the ladies that turned up - you were all sooo lovely and I am really glad that you loved all the goodies I brought to you especially the Crafty Edger Punch System and the gorgeous stamps!

Also, a big, big thanks to Mo and Abi who work in the craft shop - again, soooo lovely and really made me feel welcome! They were really helpful and Mo had even made me some flapjacks in the shape of hearts to go with my brews!!! How lovely is that?!

Did not get chance to take any photos of all the lovely ladies who came to see me - but here are a few of the amazing shop! What a fab range - especially loved the home decor range! I am currently filling up the gorgeous glass jars I bought from them with my button collection! Cute!!

If you are ever in the area - High Legh Garden Centre is a must! They have the most gorgeous collection of Christmas decorations - gifts - garden ornaments and also a lovely coffee shop! Oooooo, and to top it all off there is a kids railway outside which they can climb aboard and be driven along by the train driver around the gardens!! Must take Ben next time!!

Anyway, here's some pictures and then I am carrying on rearranging my buttons!! Lol!

Demo Dates!

Hi Everyone,

I am all packed up and ready for my Demo Day tomorrow at High Legh Garden Centre in Knutsford.
Great to be demonstrating on a Friday!

I am demonstrating every week now in the run up to Christmas - so I have updated all my demo dates on the right hand side of this page.

I am travelling all over from Cheshire; Burton on Trent; Deeside; Ellesmere Port; Lancaster; Northwich; Merseyside and South Staffordshire!
Thank goodness for Sat Nav is all I say - my geography is shocking!! Ha ha!!

I also have some workshops coming up too over the next few weeks - they are ALL fully booked - Sorry to those of you who did not manage to grab a place!!
However, there are lots more coming up next year - which I will upload in January.

Well, best go and sort out what I am wearing tomorrow and get to bed.

My current favourite Christmas stamp!

Evening Everyone,

Just thought I would share with you my favourite Christmas stamp (for the moment!) ha ha!!

As I get to see new Christmas designs nearly every day - my favourite changes pretty often!!!

This stamp though - Robin & Boot from Woodware has been my favourite now though for about 4 weeks I think!
I demonstrated with it in Fleetwood a month ago and taught with it in Aberdeen a few weeks back to and still love it - it is soooooo versatile!

Holiday over - Crafting Projects Begin!!

Well, had a fantasbulous holiday and now it is back to work!!!

Why does it always take a little longer to get your head back into work again after a holiday - I swear my head is still on the beach in Turkey! Ha ha!

Anyway, we had some "proper" pictures took whilst away on hols - which was lovely - as I am always behind the camera on holiday and have never got a good picture of the three of us before!

Anyway, I have today got myself acquainted with my diary again and it's a bit busy!!!

So, this week I have:

Friday - Demo Day at High Legh Garden Centre, Knutsford in Cheshire

Where i will be making christmas cards and christmas crackers - showing you lots of different techniques in stamping with lots and lots of brand new goodies from Woodware & Stix2!

This is a full day of demonstrations - just bob in anytime, free of charge!

Sunday - Teaching all day at Mountain Ash Crafts in Bobbington, South Staffordshire!

This event is completely fully - apologies!

I will post photos after the event for you all to see

So, after putting Ben to bed tonight - I will be off into my craft room to finalise all the cards and samples. Love crafting at night when the house is all quiet and peaceful - grab my hot chocolate and craft away into the wee hours of the morning!!

I am currently sat in the car on the long drive back home from Aberdeen (Chris driving!!) and just have to show you what I have been up too this weekend............

I have had the most amazing weekend in Aberdeen!
I have been teaching and demonstrating at Papeterie - fab shop and lovely, lovely people!
There were 34 people booked on to the workshops!!!! Thankyou all soooo much for coming - you were amazing!

And, yes, I am allready booked for next year - 3 times!!!! Ha Ha!

Qvc Shows & Aberdeen Workshops

Hi Everyone

Well, I am typing this whilst sat in the car - Chris is driving us way up north to Aberdeen where I am demonstrating and teaching this weekend at the most wonderful store - Papeterie.

It's a beautiful day - at the moment - perfect for driving.

Sooooo looking forward to this weekend - it was great being asked back again.
I am demonstrating instore all day tomorrow using some gorgeous Christmas stamps from Stamepndous and the brand new Frantage range which is an absolutely stunning range of embossing powders and glitters - you want to see the texture and shine - Wow!!
Tomorrow is an open event - so you don't need to buy a ticket or anything - just bob in any time between 10am and 4pm. Look forward to meeting so many of you that have been emailing and messaging me.
Must try and get photos with lots of you all too!!

Sunday is workshop day where it is Simply Stylish Christmas Cards in the morning and Stamping Techniques for Christmas Cards in the afternoon!
We are going to be making 10cards in one day - so lots and lots to do! It's gonna be busy!!

It's lovely not having to drive!!! Gives me time to Blog!! Lol

Kirsty is really excited about her Colour hour at 2pm where she will be showing you beautiful papers, embellishments, and glittery things!!! Oooooooooo!!!

World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop - Day2

I have used one of my current favourite stamp sets from Stampendous - Daisy Stem Trio.

I used one of the stamps and did some watercolour stamping to make the background using Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I then stamped the Daisy Trio over the top and added some more Distress Ink with my waterbrush to colourise.

Evening Everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday night.
I've had a fabulous weekend so far - with a family party last night, to celebrate my cousin Christian's 21st Birthday (where does the time go - it only seems like 2 minutes ago that he was a little boy with a bowl haircut!! Lol
Today - I have been in my craft room preparing for my next workshops up in ABERDEEN!!

Woo Hoo - I am sooooooo excited to be going back to Papeterie in Aberdeen to do a day of demonstrating on Saturday 8th and then a full day of workshops on Sunday the 9th.

I have spoken with Charlotte, the Manager, at Papeterie this week to sort out all the new goodies I will be bringing with me - ooooooooooooo, I am having so much fun playing with everything!
On the demo day on Saturday - which is a free day, so come along anytime from 10am - 4pm, I will be showing the brand new range of FRANTAGE products including the gorgeous brand new embossing powders and shaved ice - Stunning!! Together with Stamps from Stampendous, which I am completely loving too! I LOVE MY JOB!!! Lol

Sunday is a full day of workshops - where we are doing the following:
Simple Styles in Christmas Cards in the morning - where we will be making 6 cards!!!
Then, in the afternoon, it is Stamping Techniques - where we will be making 4 christmas cards, each with a different stamping technique!

I honestly cannot wait to go back to Aberdeen - brilliant shop and lovely, lovely customers.

Workshops & QVC Shows

Evening Everyone,

First of all, what's with this weather???
Now, I am not complaining - but phew!!! 25degrees today!! Wow!!
Apparently it is staying around for 2 weeks - perfect - takes me just to us going on holiday to where it is currently the same temperature!!! Nice!!! Lol

On Sunday I was teaching again in Lancashire and it was such a FAB day - to see so many old faces and new! It was such a brilliant day.
We did cards in the morning - which were all made with the free stamp set I gave everyone!!!! Woo Hoo!!! Everyone loved it - me too, so I gave myself a set too! Ha ha.
We did stamping, masking, distressing, and colour combination work!
Cards that we made are below.

In the afternoon we did scrapbooking - where we used the stamp set again and some more simple layouts using colour and also my Big Shot machine!
It was an amazing day and everyone was thrilled - so much so - I have booked the next one for the 6th November and it has allready sold out!!!! Wow!!! Thanks everyone.

As from January next year - I am going to be teaching every month. So, don't worry if you have not managed to get on the next one - I will be doing more! You just all need to book quickly it seems!!

Well, a busy old day again it was at QVC what with Hollywood Glamour hour with myself and the lovely Andrew showing us that gorgeous book about Marilyn Monroe!
Oh my word, it was stunning!
Now, I am more of a Audrey Hepburn girl myself - but wow, Marilyn is such an icon and the photos and costumes were just unbelievable! Such a stunning book!

You also loved all the stamps and decoupage too - they make such stunning cards and for any occasion.
I took photos again for you all to remind you what had been made for the show, to give you ideas! Enjoy!

Well, no rest for the wicked - over the next week I have prep to do for next weeks Qvc show on Wednesday. I also have to prep for all my workshops in Aberdeen next weekend! Plus, it is my cousins 21st birthday do this weekend - where I am being the official photographer (eeeekkkkk!), and on top of that I've got to go looking for holiday clothes!! Yuck - swimsuit time again!!! Lol

How do you keep a diary?

I don't know about you, but I still have to have a paper diary!!
I have a mobile phone that has a calendar and notes section and even tells me the weather in every other city in the world (ha ha!!) - but I still have to put all my appointments, demo days and business appointments in a paper diary!
I don't know what it is about a paper diary - it just makes me feel so much more organised!
Is anyone else the same??

This year, I've had an A5 diary all year and it has been fab - threw it into my bag along with Ben's nappies and wipes but, as he is now fully potty trained (thankfully!) I can now go back to all my small handbags - Woo Hoo!!!

So, I have just been out and bought myself a lovely A6 little neat new diary for next year and I have appointments booked in there allready!!!
It is going to be another busy hectic year and I love it!!!

Wow - what a show!

What a brilliant show - you loved the Christmas goodies today! Thanks for watching. It was so busy!
And yes, it was planned this week to finish the show at 3:45 - as it was a gardening day......... Good job really, there was nothing left hardly with all those sell outs and limited stocks!!! Lol!

I have taken photos of the card samples whilst in studio today for inspiration - so, here they all are!
Plus a little funny one of me with the Christmas Tree!!! Excuse the pumps - I forgot my black pants and shoes!!! Lol

I am back on air next Tuesday with a HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR show, followed by the brilliant and lovely Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards!

I have just stopped for tea - KFC and Starbucks!!! Yummy!!
Then back on the road home - the rain is horrid!!

Morning Everyone,

Well, it is 5:30am and I am all dressed and ready to get on the road to QVC - just to pack the car up and then I am on my way!

The shows today are at 2pm and 3pm.
Sue from Imagination Crafts is on at 2pm and then I am on at 3pm with Christmas Crafting!

I have lots of brand new kits in the hour - 7 of them!!! Plus, a One Time Only which is Gorgeous!!

So, I will be posting a few sneaky peeks - as I always do - along the way today on Facebook and Twitter, keep a look out!

Busy Weekend!

What a busy weekend I had........

Saturday I was at Crafty Company in Fleetwood with my good friends Jo & Brenda who I have worked and crafted with for years - here are some photos from the day:-

We had a fantastic day demonstrating lots of different stamping techniques for Christmas - Jo was paper piecing with some beautiful stamps from Woodware and I was stamping using another gorgeous stamp from Woodware - Christmas Rose! Also, I was using my favourite Crafty Edger from Woodware which everyone loved again! Brenda was making and taking - and we raised some money for the East Lancs Hospice too - Thankyou to everyone who came, it was such a fun, fun day!

Saturday night I went to a Body Shop Party that my sister was hosting - stocked up on my Coconut Body Butter for my holidays (4 weeks and counting!!!) and also tried a couple of new smells, which were lovely too! I am such a sucker for anything with Vanilla in - as long as it is the sweet vanilla smell, not musky!

Sunday morning I was up bright and early as I was off to meet my friend Julie and her Husband Joe for a day at the GNPE show in Harrogate!

It was my first time at the show - and it was brilliant! So many stands with lots of demonstrations going on!

This is a retail show so it is all retailers who have the stands so - when you can buy!!!! Woo Hoo - walked around once to see everything and then walked round again to buy! Treat myself to some beautiful metal embellishments and stocked up on some diamante's.

This show is run by Craftwork Cards - they had a GORGEOUS stand and stunning samples!

I was also asked by Julie and Sue of Craftwork Cards to take part in their annual READY, STEADY, CRAFT card competition! This was such a blast - I had no idea what I was putting myself in for - but that's part of the fun eh!

There were 4 of us taking part and we had to stand up on a stage infront of lots of people - we were given a bag with 5 random craft items from the show and had to make a card in 3 minutes!!! So fun - I opened my bag and I had one topper from Craftwork Cards; one message; one piece of card candy(!!); a promarker and a sachet of sugar!!!!!!!!!

So funny!!

Then after the show Sue and Julie had asked if I would join them at Sue's home for dinner and a catch up - so, off we went for Pizza and Pudding! Yummy!!!

We had such a giggle, cannot tell you why really - Lol - Sue would be embarrased - but, let's just say that we ate from cardboard boxes and then pudding was served on the queens best china!! Too funny!!!!

I then drove home - and crawled into bed shattered - after,, of course, kissing Ben who was fast asleep in bed! Love his little snoring noises!

This week is a mixture of cleaning; shopping; watching QVC as Marion has been on this week and Dyan Reavley did her first shows too - Loving it!!

Well, best crack on - got show to prep for next Tuesday at QVC - there are 7 New Todays in one hour alone!! Wow!!!

Also, got to prep for my workshops at the end of the month here in Lancashire and Aberdeen workshops on 8th & 9th October - Phew!!!

THIS WEEKEND - BIG DEMO DAY!

This Saturday - 10th September - I will be at a fantastic craft shop - Crafty Company in Fleetwood doing a demonstrating day in aid of East Lancs Hospice in Blackburn.

However, this time it is not just me...............................

I am taking along two of my crafty friends too - Jo & Brenda who I have crafted with for years now.

We are doing a big demo day where all the following is going on:-

I will be demonstrating Christmas Stamping with lots of inky mess - using brand new stamps from Woodware including the most beautiful Christmas Flower stamp!!

Jo will be demonstrating too with new Christmas stamps - including a beautiful christmas dove and showing you how to perfect paper piecing and embossing!

And Brenda will be hosting a Make n Take table with stamping and glittering - with all proceeds going to East Lancs Hospice in Blackburn, Lancashire.

This is a cause very, very close to my heart as it is where my Uncle John passed away last year.

A few months ago, you may have seen here on my Blog, my Uncle John's wife - Jean and his Daughter in Laws and two of his fab granchildren Kelsey & Demi signed up to do an 8 mile walk to raise money and Me & Mum immediately signed up too - and we managed to raise £500 between us that night! I was so proud of us all................ I want to carry on trying to raise as much money as possible. It is such an amazing place and the staff are wonderful, I just want to help in any way I can.

So, if you can, please join us this Saturday at Crafty Company in Fleetwood - just across from the library! There is free parking all the way down the main street and they also have a coffee shop where you can leave the hubbie for a while whilst you pick up some hints & tips and do a make n take!

We will also be having a Raffle on the day too - with lots of goodies donated from Stix2, Woodware and myself! So, hope to see lots of you there for a great fun day!

Had a fab two days in London with my boys!

Travelled down on Friday - did the shows Friday night - stayed over and had today in London!

We did Trafalgar Square; Hamleys Toy Store & Oxford Street.

Had a great day - last time I took Ben to London he was about 6 months old.

It was sp special for me and Chris to spend the time in London with Ben - he loved travelling in a London taxi; seeing the fountains and lions at Trafalgar Square and especially loved Hamleys Toy Store!

Just arrived home - all shattered - but Ben has got his second wind and we are just having to set up his new toy that he got today for being such a good boy! A huge HEX BUG track!!

It's going to be a long night!! Lol

Demo Day at Paperwarehouse, Kendal
A day of Christmas demonstrations with myself and others - I will be using Hero Arts & Stampendous stamps together with lots of different techniques!
Sunday 28th August
Demo Day at Mountain Ash Crafts, Bobbington, West Midlands
A full day of demonstrating with brand new of Woodware & Stix2 products including lots of stamping techniques!
Saturday 10th September
Full DEMO DAY in aid of East Lancs Hospice at Crafty Company in Fleetwood.
This is one of my favourite stores to visit and they have very kindly let me take over their store for this day with lots of my crafty friends!!! There will be lots of us all demonstrating different techniques and finishes together with a Make n Take table where you can actually make something on the day too! This wonderful shop also has a coffee shop too which has the most beautiful cakes and it is also right in the centre of Fleetwood - so plenty for your other halves to do whilst you enjoy yourself watching the many demonstrators! Entry is completely free - so come along and join in the fun with us! Going to be a great day!

Just confirmed yesterday - I have finally found the perfect room to hold my own workshops in locally - Chorley, Lancashire!
I will be teaching cardmaking in the morning and scrapbooking in the afternoon and I cannot wait!!
Each workshop is priced at £15 each and I provide everything - all materials, tea and coffee - just bring your own tools such as scissors & trimmer.

Is also busy, busy, busy!!
There have been so many amazing shows recently for me including Dreamweaver; USArtquest; Steampunk and Clearance Hours - it has been brilliant to demonstrate to you lots of different products and techniques.

CRAFT CLEARANCE DAY!

Morning Everyone,

Well, I am just packing up my bag to get on the road very soon down to QVC to launch Clearance Craft Day tonight at Midnight!!

There are 11 hours of Clearance Shows starting tonight and ending at 11pm tomorrow night!! Phew!!

There truly are some AMAZING bargains and fantastic kits! I am SO excited about this event as such a diverse range of products from Stamps; Inks; Papers; Tools; Decoupage with some amazing names in products too including - DCWV; K&Co; WRMK; Teresa Collins and so many more - they are just the ones in my hours!!!

I will be launching tonight at midnight with a Bumper TSV of essential crafting tools and kit - I have had so much fun setting up all my demonstrations for this kit, I can honestly say that I am going to show you a different range of techniques with every presentation - How exciting is that!!!

Oh, and one last thing to mention - E Z Pay is about quite a lot all day!!! Sssssssshhhhhhh - don't say I told you!! Lol

Well, best crack on and find my slippers - launching with Craig tonight so got to get ready for a dance!!!

Oh, yes, almost forgot - I am really excited to tell you all that I am travelling a bit around the country in October with a Day of Demo's and Workshops in Aberdeen and just also confirming a day of Workshops and Demonstrations in South Wales too!!! SO Excited!

On a recent show on QVC I did a full hour of the amazing USArtquest products and I have had loads of emails asking me how I made the picture frame that I showed!!
Well, here it is in step by step photos!!!

Apologies for the delay - been a bit manic recently!

Start with a MDF photo frame

Paint the frame using the palette included in the kit

Tear a section of one of the napkins. Dampen the edge of the section that you want with water - makes it really easy to tear!

Place the napkin on to the frame where you think it fits. The napkin is layed on dry - and you then apply the PPA Gloss over the top with the brush included too!

Repeat the process until the whole frame is covered! Be sure to match up the design as much as you can.

Make sure you paint over all of the napkin - including the bits that go over the edge and on to the back of the frame! The PPA is an adhesive - so sets the napkin into place.

Viola! How stunning is that?!

I used the Napkin Collage kit from QVC - here is the link to the kit and I have also made quite a few cards and I have so many more home decor projects in the pipeline using this kit and more of the many USArtquest products - they are going to be used in lots of my Christmas gifts! I have decided to do more homemade gifts this year!!

Just need to set aside time in my diary now to get working on them!! Lol!!

I have a day at home today - working - but at least I am at home!

So, before I go up to my craft room and crack on, here is what I have been up to the last few days....

Friday had a busy start with 3 deliveries of goodies before 9am!!

The first 2 boxes were QVC kits for shows coming up (sneeky peeks of those will follow over the next few days) and the third box was my demo goodies from Woodware that I had requested!

I really, really love demonstrating in stores at weekends - as I get to choose what I would like to demonstrate! How great is that!!

The store tell me the general idea of what they would like - stamping; cardmaking; scrapbooking - then I can choose all the products that I would like to use!

So for the demonstration next week in Liverpool - this is what my box had in it:

Stampendous and Woodware Stamps; Peel Offs and the AMAZING Crafty Edger Punch!

I did a You Tube video of this punch system a few months ago and I cannot wait to show everyone this weekend how to use it - it is truly amazing!

So, Friday was spent mostly doing last minute work on kits for the shows I did yesterday on QVC and getting ready for my demo last Saturday at Crafty Company in Fleetwood.

I love going to the Crafty Company, they are always so friendly and helpful and their customers are just fab. I also love that you can hear seagulls all day too - brings back happy memories of days out as children!

I was demonstrating how to make quick and simple baby cards using lots of new products - it was great fun to sit and just papercraft for the day - No stamps; no inks - just paper and embellishments! Great fun and somewhat out of my comfort zone - But I think it is always good to go out of your comfort zone once in a while - Forces us to try different things, don't you think?

Here are some of the many cards I made together with some of the fab paper mache letters I decorated with paint, paper and embellishments - these were SO much fun and they are only £2.45 per letter - How good is that!!!

Wouldn't they make a great gift idea?

And look what I came home with - Lemon Drizzle Cake and Ginger Cake................. Yummy!!

Crafty Company have a coffee shop and have the most delicious, scrummy cakes!! Mmmmmmm.

Saturday night was then spent packing and getting ready to get on the road to London on Sunday!

Sunday, I travelled down to QVC to be part of the TSV launch hours with Anna Griffin.
Did you see the gorgeous TSV - it is truly stunning! And what about Anna's papers; stamps and punches!! Wow!!

I then followed at 1am with some more Christmas goodies including Tim Holtz stamps, papers, ribbons and many more - It was a great two hours and Anna is such a lovely lady, it was so good to see her again and catch up.

Thought you might like to see this funny little picture of me...................... (cannot believe I am sharing this with you!!!!)

This was taken about 5 minutes before I went on air at 1am! I had really bad hayfever - and the only way for me to stop sneezing is to plug my nose with tissue!!!! Ha Ha - Anyone else do this??? He He! Ah well, had a great show anyway - so it was worth it!

Got back to the hotel at about 2:30am and was fast asleep 10 minutes later after taking all my hayfever tablets!!

Monday morning it was off to QVC as I was shooting promo photos and film - this was SO funny!!

Can't tell you anything just yet - but it was like an acting class - hilarious!!!!

Then it was into studio to set up for the 3pm show - Had such a giggle setting up for this show!

I so wish you could see what goes on behind the scenes, especially in the set up of a show with computers and monitors - let's just say, that right up to the very last minute things can go wrong!!!! Ha Ha!

It was a great show and had a fab mixture of CD's and other cardmaking kits such as an amazing offer on Mirri Card; beautiful Petaloo Velvet Butterflies and a fab bumper white card kit!!

It was then a quick meeting and catch up with the buyers - always such great meetings and lots of exciting things coming up - but cannot tell you anything yet!!! Sorry!

We were then on the road home to our little boy!

Phew!!!

So, now, after a fab nights sleep - I am home working for the day and must get upstairs into my craft room for the day!

Got to prep cards for this Saturdays demo and also samples for next Tuesdays shows at 10am and 2pm!

Sorry not updated for a few days - it's been madness the last few days - it is only now that I have chance to sit down for an hours peace and quiet to update my Blog!

Well, since I last updated you I spent a really great day on Saturday at Craft Rainbow in Liverpool doing a demo day! This shop is a hoot!!

I had so much fun with lots of banter - it was brilliant!

Usually, when you demo in a store you get people sitting down and standing around watching you for half an hour/an hour or so and then they move on - shop a bit and then come back a bit later to see if what you are doing again - Well, Craft Rainbow was completely different!

The ladies started arriving at about 9:45 and did not leave until the shop closed at 5pm!!!!

It was so much fun really getting to know them over the day and their sense of humours! Ha Ha!

Everything again, that I was demonstrating had sold out by lunchtime - so Sue and Jo were taking down orders as we were going along so that they could place their orders with Woodware on Monday! Talk about fast paced!! As I was demonstrating people were shouting out "Sue, get me one of those!!" or "Jo, can I have one of them" - Brilliant!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day and cannot wait to return!

Sunday morning was spent at the in laws house for a few hours - where Ben played outside on the back garden fishing out all of the stones from the bottom of the pond - He keeps throwing them in on purpose so he can drag them out again with the net!! A game that could go on for hours!!

Wasn't it a scorcher of a day??

We then went out to do the Asda shop and then came back home mid afternoon and I was off up into my craft room to finalise some samples for my show at QVC on Monday.

Monday morning was spent packing everything up for QVC whilst playing jumping on the bed with Ben in between carrying kits downstairs!

Then early afternoon, me and Dad were off in the car down to London in plenty of time for my show at 11pm.

It was a good drive down - sun was shining and me and my dad just talk the whole way down - that is of course in between Starbucks stops!!

The show at 11pm was AMAZING!! I was on with Debbie Flint and lots of you have made comments to me in emails or on Facebook that we should have a regular Amy & Debbie show - How much fun would that be?! Debbie is such a love to work with - we always have such fun, but she lets me get on with it too - Perfect!

It was such a busy show - the OTO, Crop A Dile caused a real commotion on the ordering lines - it was so busy! Hope lots of you managed to grab yourself one - it was such a bargain!!

We had to go to a break straight after the Crop A Dile - to give the phone lines times to clear!

We then had the gorgeous Heart Distressing Tool and cardstock - which I personally ordered too as I love that tool, but with the cardstock too, it was another great deal and fab quality!

The brad tool was another favourite - how simple was that!?
And then, of course, there were the lovely Gel Pens 591244; Paper Flowers 591207; Butterflys 590512 & Papers 590515 - Phew!!!

It went by so quickly!
We then packed up the kits - got back into the car and travelled straight home!!

We arrived home at about 4:30am - and the sun was just coming back out - very strange to travel through the night and arrive home with the sunshine!

Today has been spent in my pyjamas at home - in fact I am still in them!!! Ha ha!

Oh, I have also updated all my diary dates on the right hand side with my Demo Dates out and about, possibly in a store near you and also I have lots of new QVC hours to update too - will get those on asap.

Well, I think that is all for today!

Got more prep to do this week - as I am back demonstrating at Crafty Company in Fleetwood again this Saturday - LOVE that store and they have a little cafe too, where they have fab cakes and make a cracking brew! So, do bob along if you are in the area.

Then I am also back on air next Monday - as it is a TSV Day with Anna Griffin and I am doing a couple of hours during the day!!

So, best get my beauty sleep whilst I can!

Aberdeen - Part 2 & Exciting News!!

Following Amy’s hugely successful weekend recently – we are really excited to confirm another full weekend of Amy demonstrating and teaching here at The Papterie, Aberdeen on the 8th & 9th October.

It is going to be a fun filled inspirational weekend incorporating all brand new Christmas Goodies from Stamps; Stickers; Punches; Stencils & so much more.

The Weekend will go as follows:-
Saturday 8th October

Amy will be instore demonstrating from 10am – 4pm using all brand new goodies to create stunning Christmas cards. From Bright and Bold to Soft and Light colour palettes, Amy will show you how to make simply stylish cards to stand out on anyone’s fireplace!!

Sunday 9th October

Amy will be holding workshops all day from 10am – 4pm
The morning workshop from 10am – 1pm will be “Simply Stylish” – where you will create 6 christmas cards in this single session!!

The afternoon workshop from 2pm – 4pm will be “Stamping Techniques”, where you will create 4 christmas cards – each one teaching you a different stamping technique!!
Lots of technique creating stunning results!

The cost of the workshops are £25 each OR you can book both workshops for just £40!!

Aberdeen - Still Buzzing!

Well, I am back from a truly amazing few days in Aberdeen!

It was brilliant - I really loved every minute of it.

Lots of pictures to share with you all so, here goes............

The fantastic B&B that I stayed at "Waldies" in Aberdeen! It was just a 10 minute stroll into Aberdeen - which was great. The bed's were SO comfy - the breakfast was perfect and the homemade chocolate krispie cakes, to die for!!! If you ever take a trip to Aberdeen - be sure to stay there!

I was teaching all day on the Friday to a lovely group of ladies!

It was Alcohol Inks in the morning and then stamping techniques in the afternoon - we had a blast and everyone was amazed to make 5 cards in the morning and 4 more in the afternoon! We had a busy day - but lots of laughter and chatter! Perfect!

The lovely Susan - who had never been on a workshop before and she was completely thrilled by what she acheived. She also made lots of new crafty friends - Don't you just love it when that happens! Meet new friends with the same interests! Love it!

Gill & Lisa - was so lovely to finally meet you both! Thankyou so much for the beautiful flowers and the lift to the B&B. You were both a complete joy to meet and teach. You supplied me with lots of giggles & bling!! LOL xx

The shop, Papeterie in Aberdeen is HUGE! It is connected to a working paper mill - therefore, they do amazing offers on boxes of card - Fill a box for a certain price. But, on top of all that, they stock some of the biggest names in craft and an amazing collection of Rubber Stamps including Stampendous; Hero Arts; Tim Holtz; Gorjuss; Woodware; EK Success; Martha Stewart together with Kanban; Nestabilities - the list goes on and on and on!

On the Saturday I was demonstrating instore using some of my favourite products from Woodware which included some of the most beautiful Stampendous stamps! I was so in love with the stamps I was using and everyone else was too - I had completely sold out by 12 o'clock of all of my favourites!!! Great Day!

Will post pictures of my finished cards from the workshops and demo day tomorrow together with information on the next time I will be back in Aberdeen!!

Yes, I am going back very soon and I am completely thrilled about it as everyone was asking me to book in more dates - so, will be back tomorrow with the full info!!

Aberdeen Here I Come!!

Really, really excited about this week.................

I am teaching at Papeterie this Friday in Aberdeen, together with demonstrating instore all day Saturday too!

I have just spoken with Charlotte at the store and the workshops are full!!

However, I know that there has been some disapointed people who really wanted to come - so, we have added a few more places on to each class!! Woo Hoo!!

Locked in My Craft Room!!

Yep, I have been locked in my craft room for the past 2 days and I am going to be locked in there again tonight!!

I am having a BLAST!!! Preparing for my shows on Wednesday at 2pm & 3pm.

2pm is a full hour dedicated to USArtquest products............ Having just returned from spending a week at USArtquest in Michigan - I cannot wait to share with you everything I have learnt!

I am going to show you a different technique for every kit - so it is going to be a very, very busy hour!! SO excited!!

Then, at 3pm, I am doing a full hour dedicated to the fabulous Dreamweaver Stencils and paste!!!

I have just been learning some new techniques with these too - so as you can imagine, my head is spinning!! Lol!!

I honestly, cannot wait to share everything with you - so, put the kettle on, take the phone off the hook and get settled on Wednesday at 2pm for a full 2 hours of lots of new products and techniques!!

Then after, I will be having a stiff drink!!!!!!!

The Last Few Days in Pictures!

Apologies for the absence over the last few days - but it has been a whirlwind of QVC shows, teaching and preppingchaos!!!

I PROMISE that I will get to Part 2 of my trip to USArtquest very, very soon - but I just had to share with you what I have been up to over the last 2 days - and the easiest way to do that is in pictures, so here goes:-

Tuesday I was at QVC all day with 2 hours of Clearance Shows - which were SO busy, they flew by in the blink of an eye! It was a heck of a long day - up at 4:30am and arrived home at 3am the next morning!! THankfully my fab Dad was with me so he did the driving!!!

I was then up Wednesday at 7am (had about 3 hours sleep!!) and off to teach for the day at Paperwarehouse in Kendal!

Lovely store, staff and customers - had an amazingly fun day and cannot wait to go back again on the 7th July to teach Shrink Plastic in the morning and Dreamweaver Stencils in the afternoon!

My visit to USArtquest, Michigan in the USA!

Well, I have finally done it, I have downloaded, arranged and organised 782 photos from my trip to USArtquest, Michigan!

There was so much inspiration and so much going on whilst I was there that I was just clicking away the whole 5 days!!

There is so much to tell you and share with you so I think I am going to have to do this over a few posts. Here goes.......................

My journey started last Wednesday - where after a tearful (on my part) goodbye to Ben the day before (as I did not want him to come to the airport and see Mummy cry!!) and a tearful goodbye with Chris at the airport I went into Manchester airport to catch the first flight of my day to Newark, New York!!

I don't know about you but I do not worry about flying or travelling alone - it is the fact that if something happens whilst I am flying/travelling that I am alone - Does that make sense!?!

Anyway, I boarded my flight to Newark and it was a good flight with no problems - Sat and watched a couple of films, watched a few episodes of In Treatment on my Ipod (love this series!), ate a good meal (surprisingly, usually hate plane food usually) and before I knew it we were landing in Newark!

Now, if you have never been to Newark airport before, it is huge! It is split into three section A, B & C all of which are connected by a monorail system!! We landed into B and the flight attendants told us before we got off the plane to follow the signs for immigration and then on to baggage claim and then Connecting Flights! No problem I though - keep calm Amy and you will be fine - Lots of staff around to ask if you get lost - Just follow everyone else!!!

Everything was fine - immigration was quick and easy and then I followed the signs to Baggage Claim (hate that it didn't go all the way through to Detroit!) - Then Connecting Flights. Put in my baggage to Detroit and then on to the monorail to Section C for my connecting flight. Everything was going well, grabbed a cup of coffee and went on to my departure gate...... That's when the problems started................

My flight to Detroit was stated as "CANCELLED"

Cancelled..................... How can it be just cancelled!!

So, I thought keep calm Amy - you are fine - just go and ask the lady behind the desk!

To cut a long story shorter, there were realy bad storms in Detroit with Thunder and lightning and terrential rain so all flights that day so far had been cancelled. She said not to worry that she would just put me on the next flight 3 hours later than mine as she had just been told that that flight would be leaving on time to Detroit.

Ok - Keep calm Amy, everything is fine. Go and have something to eat and come back!

So, off I went for a sandwich and came back to sit at the gate.

My new flight was due to take off at 5pm - 4:30pm arrived and no plane! 4:50pm arrived and CANCELLED came up on the board!

I could not believe it - what do I do?

The lady came over the tanoy system and told us all that it was cancelled and there were no more flights scheduled for that day so we have to rebook at the flight info desk next to the gate! So, off I ran to the info desk before everyone else!!!

This lovely lady behind the counter told me that she would rebook me for the 8am flight the next day and that I would just have to stay at a hotel that night!!! Huh - how was I to know where to find a hotel? What about my bag? I had no clean knickers, no toothbrush - everything was in my bag!!!

That was it - I broke down and started to cry!!!!

Now, it takes me a heck of a lot to cry but I was so tired, so worried at being alone, that I just cracked. Thankfully the lady was lovely - she told me where to go to get my bag, where to go to ring hotels and told me not to worry, that I was definetley booked on the next morning and the weather looked good for then!!

So, off I went with mascara half way down my face to collect my bag - over at section A.

It took a very, very long 2 hours to get my bag back and finally find the phone to book the hotel!!!! I was a wreck until I managed to get through to Chris who calmed me down (he is SO good at doing that - my rock!)

I finally got my bag, found the free shuttle to the hotel on the airport site and went to book in.

What a lovely hotel it was and the staff were amazing - $80 for the night - I got a huge suite with a lovely bathroom and lounge. They ordered me a pizza at reception, I rang my mum & dad as they had been worrying and crashed into bed with my HUGE Hawaian pizza and bottle of Mountain Dew ( my favourite drink in USA!!) to watch American Idol - before I fell asleep about half an hour later into the deepest sleep ever I think!!

The next morning I woke up ready and refreshed to grab my flight to Detroit wiithout any problems - thankfully - where Sue met me at the airport! It was so good to see her - we had a great big hug and then got in the car off to her offices with a quick stop off at a craft store!!!

Yippeee - the trip could finally start!!

My First Day at USArtquest

Well, I am finally here - after a stop over in New York!!!!
My flight was cancelled because of terrible weather here in Detroit - but I have finally made it 24 hours later than expected!

So, we have got straight into work and I am having a blast allready - we are just now stopping for dinner and then after dinner it is straight back into Sue's amazing Studio!!

Lots and Lots of piccies to follow.......................

Real Quick Post!

Hi Everyone

Apologies, but this is going to be a quick post as just got home from a really busy day and got lots to do to get ready for shows next week at QVC and my trip to USA - plus take away is on it's way! Mmmmmmm Saturday night Pizza night! Yummy!!

Will post pictures of the past week on here as soon as possible - but in the meantime, just to confirm that the shows on Tuesday at QVC are 2 - 4pm & 6pm - 8pm!!

Gotta go - time to put another load of clothes in the washing machine!!

What's that saying......................... A womans work is never done! Ha ha!

Todays Workshop & Blog Candy Winner!

What a fantastic day I have had teaching to a full room!
It was a double fun day today as Lindsay Mason and David joined us too!

I taught floral cards this morning - showing four different ways to make flowers from little strips of paper up to tissue paper!! Everyone completed 3 cards and a tissue paper flower to take home! It was such a great fun morning with biscuits and brews too (after a bit of messing with kettles and cups - thankyou David!!) Lol!

We then broke for lunch and after this, Lindsay taught the afternoon session with lots of inky mess and stamping! Everyone managed to complete 3 cards in the afternoon too and we finished on time!! ( A very rare thing for Lindsay!)

QVC, Workshops, USA & Blog Candy!

Hi Everyone,

Finally, eh - Blogger is fixed!! But my last post has disappeared - let's see if I can remember it all....................

Lots to tell you all so here we go............

Yes, I am really, really pleased and excited to tell you all that I AM staying at QVC!!

Woo Hoo - I now have my own contract with them, lots of exciting shows coming up and lots of meetings about the future going on! I am SO excited!!

I cannot tell you much more at the moment - but there are lots of changes happening and it is so exciting that it hurts to keep it all in at the moment!! As soon as I can tell you more, I will!
So, watch this space!!!

EXCITED!!!!!

Also, my other job (!), as a freelance demonstrator is chaotic at the moment too - I am now booked every weekend right through until August with days in Lancaster; Fleetwood; Liverpool; Wigan; Kendal and Aberdeen - to name a few! I am LOVING being out and about meeting so many of you - I love visiting so many different stores and passing on new techniques that I am learning and discovering. Such exciting times!

I am also holding workshops in Lancashire; Kendal and Aberdeen (so far) - with hopes of getting to lots more areas very soon so more of you can join in the fun.

At the moment, I am also on count down with my trip to the USA!
I have been invited over by my lovely friend in crafting - Susan Pickering Rothamel of USArtquest - to spend a whole 5 days crafting, learning and bouncing ideas of each other - so that I can then come back home and represent USArtquest on air at QVC and also around the country instores too!

Told you there was a lot to tell you!!

It is all SO exciting - I feel like I could burst!

Also, of course, on top of all this - the most important thing is making time for My Boys!
Ben is growing up so much now, cannot believe he is 4 this year!!!
Why is it that when you become a Mum, the years go by so much quicker!

I am loving having lots more quality time with them especially with all this good weather we have been having - walking in the park; visting the seaside and lots of time for loads of kisses and cuddles - or as we call them, snugems!!

Craft Day & Demo Days

Hi Everyone

Had a great day yesterday at QVC - with 2 hours of shows!

Love working with Charlie - he is such fun, but we still get the job done!!

Here's a couple of photos from before the show................. Lol!!

Today I planned a duvet day - which kind of happened - but the phone was non-stop!

All, with good news though which was great! More dates added to my demo days out and about and some workshops in Aberdeen!! Really, really excited about being out and about meeting so many of you - Loving every minute of it.

Crafty Company, Fleetwood

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend!
As promised, here are photos from my days demonstration at Crafty Company in Fleetwood yesterday:

Just a few of the many lovely people who came to visit throughout the day!

The shop is really big with lots and lots of goodies including a huge collection of stamps; Punches; InkPads; Embossing Powders; Decoupage; Stencils and lots and lots of card and paper to choose from!

They also have a Wedding Room - where they do Wedding Stationery to order!
Gorgeous Invites & so much more!!

On top of all that, they also have a little Coffee Shop at the back where you can sit and have a brew and a gorgeous piece of cake - Lemon Drizzle on Saturday and they twisted my arm to have a piece!!! (Honestly, they had to twist really, really hard!!)

They also did a Raffle too to win a Sizzix Big Shot Machine!!!

This was the lucky lady who won when I drew the ticket - So sorry that I cannot remember the ladies name, but she was so stunned and pleased, was lovely to grab a quick photo with her too!

My Tissue Paper Flowers using brand new tissue paper from Stix 2 were so popular and they are so, so easy to make - nobody would believe how quick and simple they are to make, until I showed them.

So, for everyone else, I will put together a little video and upload tomorrow of how to make them too!

Just as I was finishing up Mum, Dad, Chris & Ben came in so that we could go down to the beach after I finished and then out for some tea - What a perfect way to finish a FANTASTIC day!

Thankyou to everyone who made me feel so welcome - they kept me going with cups of coffee all day and it was near enough non-stop, so thankyou!

A Right Royal Day!

Wasn't it a beautiful wedding?

Stunning!

William looked so handsome in his uniform and Kate just looked so elegant.

Now, I am - to be honest - not a huge fan of the royal family. Don't know why, just never have been and I was not interested in the wedding at all, I had a day of crafting planned whilst Ben was at Nursery and Chris was at the gym!

I made a brew and was on my way up to my craft room when I thought I would just have a quick look at the tv - and it was just showing all the guests arriving into church - 2 hours later I finally left the tv and went to work!!!

I just loved watching all the people arrive - David Beckham (phwoar!!) and Victoria; Elton John & David, Rowan Atkinson and of course all the rest of the royal family too. Loved looking at all the different hats - not sure about some of them though!!! he he!

So, to be honest, after today I really do feel quite a new warmth towards our Royal Family - I think William and Kate will bring a much needed freshness to the whole set up.

They truly looked happy and completely relaxed with each other and I hope that that does not get ruined by royal life & duties!

Finished off a few samples for my demo day tomorrow at Crafty Company in Fleetwood!

This last scrapbook page is me and Chris on our wedding day nearly 4 years ago!

He surprised me today by coming up into my craft room whilst I was working and asking me to stand up - after moaning for a second as I was in the middle of doing some shrink plastic (!!) - I stood up and he gave me a great big hug and kiss and said "Happy Anniversary" (our wedding anniversary is next month) - But he told me that 5 years ago today we went on our first date together!! He is such a soppy romantic sometimes and I love him for it!

So Happy First Date Anniversary Hubby - I love you!

Anyway - best go and get an early night, I am really, really looking forward to tomorrow - Sandra at the shop has promised to have Lemon Drizzle Cake ready - Yummy!!!

Hope to see lots of you there as I will be working with gorgeous stamps from Woodware, showing you lots of different stamping techniques including Shrink Plastic and using tissue paper and Hot Glue from Stix2!!

My Bank Holiday and THIS WEEKEND!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you have all had a fantastic Easter weekend - I know I have!
A mixture of quality time with family and good friends, bit of crafting & a bit of spring cleaning!

This weekend - I am really excited to be demonstrating at Crafty Company in Fleetwood!

I will be there on Saturday demonstrating brand new stamps & inks from Woodware together with lots of fab adhesives and products from Stix2!

In conjunction with the day, the lovely people at Crafty Company are currently selling raffle tickets to win a Sizzix BIG SHOT!

Workshop Info & Card Competition Winner

Hope you are all having a fantastic Easter Weekend.

I have just had a lovely day celebrating a family birthday at a local pub/resataurant with all the kids - Great fun!! And the weather has been amazing hasn't it? We were sat out in the Beer Garden enjoying the sun whist the kids coloured in pictures and played football!

Now back home - Ben in bed, shattered and me and Chris are watching Wedding Singer whilst I type this! Love trashy films on Bank Holidays!

Really excited about the next few weeks ahead - Lots and Lots going on so really got to spend some time this weekend clearing my craft table ready to start work on all the projects and samples! Will tell you more next week!!!

Sunday 15th May

This is to be held at The Brewer's Fayre, Oakenhurst Farm, Off Eccleshill Road, Lower Darwen, Blackburn.

It is going to be a really fun filled day of crafting with myself and Lindsay which starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm

The full cost of the day is just £30 which includes use of all materials for the day for all the projects and light refreshments throughout too.

The only thing we ask you to bring are your own scissors & paper trimmers

There is a lovely bar/restaurant attached and lots of free parking. It is also just off the motorway and very, very easy to find.

What a Christmas Present!!

I have had the most fab two days in Manchester with my hubbie, Chris!
For Christmas Chris bought me tickets to go and see Jamiroquai in concert at MEN - I cannot tell you how long I have wanted to see Jay Kay in concert. I have been a huge fan of his music (and him - yummy!!) for a long, long time. It was always the music I listened too when getting ready for a night out with the girls - always gets me dancing and singing at the top of my voice!

So, we set off on Tuesday morning - after sorting Ben out for a few days with my mum and dad - to spend the day around Manchester before getting ready in the afternoon to go for a few drinks first before the concert. A few Corona's later I was so excited so off we went to the MEN.

Nothing like afternoon drinks with the sun shining too!

The show - not many pictures taken as I was too busy dancing! Danced for the whole show - how people can keep still to Jamiroquai is beyond me!!!
We were so close too - amazing seats!

It was amazing - a mix of his old stuff and new! Loved every single minute of it and did not want it to end. It had too though at about 11pm - so we went off to China Town for a meal to end the night before going back to the hotel.

The next day we had a lie in before meeting a friend in Manchester for a catch up - of course, at Starbucks!!!

We then set off home early afternoon stopping on the way for an early tea - Chris finished off with an amazing pudding!! Ah well, it was a treat! He He

We got back to Mum and Dad's to find our little boy absolutely shattered from a day out with his Mamah and Bampa - he had been out walking for about 3 hours and had a little snooze of half an hour on the way home. He soon woke up as soon as he saw us though and we were taken off into the back garden to help him water the plants - he loves my mum and dads back garden!

It was such the best end to a fab few days - me and Ben in our bare feet watering plants and splashing each other with water!

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine too!

Will be back tomorrow with another update as more to tell you but shattered now and off to bed!!

Great Day at Samuel Taylors, Embsay

Hi Everyone Had a great day at Samuel Taylors in Embsay today demonstrating on behalf of Personal Impressions - spent the day playing with Distress Inks & Stains and new stamps from Andy Skinner!! What a fab day playing, chatting and sharing new techniques! Loved every minute of it. Thankyou to all the staff & customers for making me feel so welcome - it is an amazing store and filled to the rafters with not just crafting goodies, but there is also fabric, sewing and a coffee shop!!! A great day out and in the lovely setting of Embsay - near to Skipton! Here are a few pictures from the day including my cards............ Hope you like!!

Exciting News!

Hi Everyone, Don't know where to start with this entry as I have two pieces of fantastic news...............

Well, after teasing you all on Facebook (he he!!) I can finally now tell you why I posted: "I've just booked a flight to the USA!!"

I am so excited about this amazing opportunity - that I can barely concentrate to type this up!!

I have been invited by my wonderful crafty friend - Susan Pickering Rothamel of USArtquest to go and stay with her at her home & studio in America and have one to one tuition with her for a whole 5 days!!!

Can you believe it??

Susan is going to teach me how to use every single one of her amazing products from the Paper Perfect Adhesive to the incredible Mica products that they do! I cannot begin to tell you how honoured I feel at being given this amazing opportunity. I am truly humbled.

When does this kind of opportunity ever arise - ever??

I am thrilled that I will be learning from this amazingly talented lady on a one to one basis - in her own studio and home - in America!!

Aaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhh - So excited!

Of course, a major part of this is so that I can learn all the techniques that are up in that amazingly creative mind of Sue's - and that I can then come back and share them all with you via my shows on QVC & Instore Demonstrations - Cannot wait to share everything with you all.

So, there you go - that's the first bit of amazing news!

Number 2 amazing news is.......................

I have joined together with another amazingly talented lady on this side of the pond - Lindsay Mason to teach workshops together!

Lindsay and I have been friends for many years now and have always wanted to do crafty things together so we have decided to teach here in Lancashire!

We have our first workshop booked for the 15th May and ideas are swimming around our heads as to what we are going to teach - but more importantly, we cannot wait to have fun with you all and share our tips and tricks!

We are currently finalising exactly what projects we are going to be doing - we have so many ideas, we are trying to fit it all in to one day. As soon as we have it all confirmed, we will let you all know!

In the meantime, if you would like to pencil your name in before the places go - as we have a very limited number of places available - please drop me an email at mrsashaw@googlemail.com and you will be the first to know!

Told you it was all exciting news!!

Well, what a fab few days I have had at Inkspot in Hamilton near Glasgow! It was my second visit to this lovely store - but my first time at teaching there and I have had a blast!! I must say a BIG thankyou to everyone who came to my classes and all of the staff at Inkspot - they are full of kindness; enthusiasm and a joy to spend a few days with. Here are a few of the photos from the workshops and also a few photos of the shop to0 - If you have never visited Inkspot before, you must go and have a look - it is full to the rafters of a huge array of products including Ranger; DCWV; K & Co and some of the most beautiful stamps I have ever seen!

It has been requested that I go back again and teach & demonstrate - I cannot wait! Keep your eyes peeled for more dates soon!!

Boxes, Projects & Workshops

Well, I am all packed and ready to set off to Scotland in the morning!

My first workshop at Inkspot in Hamilton starts tomorrow afternoon and then continues all day Saturday and I cannot wait!! So excited - my first workshops in Scotland! Woo Hoo!

The first workshop is with the Grand Calibur and then Saturday I am teaching with Dreamweaver Stencils & Paste in the morning and then the afternoon is Alcohol Inks!!

Will post pictures next week of the projects and the fun!!

In the meantime - I cannot believe how many goodies have been arriving for me this week.......

These fabulous stamps (and my favourite ever white card stock) have arrived from Personal Impressions, who I demonstrate for in retail shops! I am going to be demonstrating these babies next Saturday at Samuel Taylors, Embsay!

Must, Must, Must point out the FAB Andy Skinner stamps! These are stunning and on an A5 sheet - so a bigger size and I cannot wait to get playing with these!

Andy is an amazingly talented guy and such a sweet person too - Have you ever checked out his BLOG? Go and have a look - you want to see what he does! Amazing!

What a Lovely Family Day!

Had a fantastic day yesterday at my Mum's Birthday Garden Party! My mum turns 60 tomorrow (!!) and she retired this week so it was a double celebration where all the family turned up to celebrate - It was a fab, fab day. Nothing better than being surrounded by family and friends is there? Here are a few pictures from the day...........

The amazing cake!!

My Aunty Julie made the most amazing cake I have EVER seen. Aunty Julie is my Mum's sister and made it full of memories of Mum's. Right on the top was a Toy Box which my mum is known for - always having a house full of toys for kids! It was filled with certain toys to remind mum of certain children - it was unreal.

It was covered in "blankies" - blankets, which my mum is always wrapping the kids up in to keep warm!

On the bottom there were plaques all the way around with the names of her kids, grandkids and special children in her life all with their own individual picture again of a memory that Mum has!

I cannot tell you how much it meant I know it took my Aunty Julie absolutely ages - But it was so worth it and I just want to say a big Thankyou to my Aunty Julie - it was truly beautiful!

On Saturday 9th April I am teaching a Dreamweaver Stencils & Paste Workshop - I am so in love with Dreamweaver Stencils and on air at QVC I never get enough time to show you properly - So cannot wait to show you how simple it is to create amazingly stunning results with these fab products. I am also going to show you how to add a bit of sparkle to your pasted images with Perfect Pearls and Mica!! Wit Woo!!

On Saturday afternoon is my Alcohol Ink & Distress Ink Workshop
Cannot tell you how excited I am about this one as I am currently messing (sorry working) with new techniques with these fab products and I cannot wait to share them with you - This is truly going to be a great fun workshop. I am going to show you how to use your alcohol inks to create amazing background effects and how to co-ordinate them into your cards. I will also show you have to use Distress Inks too! A great introduction into the world of colour!

Slight Delay & New Toy!

Apologies - but there is going to be a slight delay with my Blog Candy and photos from workshop yesterday! I've left my camera at work with all the photos on!! Duuuhhhh!!
Will put up on Tuesday - as I am off work tomorrow!

Workshop Day!

Morning!

What a beautiful day and I am in a beautiful mood!

It's my full day of workshops today at the Dawn Bibby Design Studio - I love teaching!
I am teaching cardmaking this morning - where we are going to make 5 cards in 2 hours and then this afternoon it is scrapbooking where we are going to attempt to do 8 pages!!

Going to be a fun day - best stop off for the choccies on the way for us all!
